The upcoming season 2 finale of “iZombie” is going to be deadly.

During a sit-down interview with Showbiz Junkies at WonderCon last month, Robert Buckley revealed that at least one character will not make it to season 3.

“We’re getting a little ‘Game of Thrones’-y here,” Buckley said when asked how safe every character is in next week’s season finale. “You know, I probably shouldn’t say it but at least one player in this is not going to make it out of season two. That’s about as much as I [can say]. I’m not going to say which group I’m referring to, but someone in the mix is going down.”

During the show’s WonderCon panel, series co-creator Rob Thomas said that the season 2 finale dwarfs last year’s season-ender.

“I just finished a cut of this finale, and last year’s finale when Major [Buckley] went into Meat Cute with a shotgun, we thought ‘This is as big as iZombie gets.’ But this year’s finale is a massive episode,” Thomas said (via Comic Book Resources). “It answers things and sets up what will happen in season 3.”

When asked what he thinks about Thomas’ sentiments about the finale, Buckley told Showbiz Junkies: “I feel like that’s an undersell. Like, it’s such an understatement.”

“The finale, listen, it takes us eight business days to shoot an episode and we had to stretch to 10 days doing 14 hour days using literally every minute to get the episode,” the 34-year-old actor said. “It’s huge in scope.”

He continued, “I had heard zero feedback until just a couple of minutes ago when Rob Thomas got here and he was so giddy. He pulled me and Malcolm [Goodwin] aside and said, ‘I’ve got to tell you guys if you thought last year’s was big, this thing puts it to shame.’ He’s like, ‘By the second act, it’s like an action movie.’ It’s big.”

The last two episodes of the season air back-to-back on Tuesday, April, 12 at 9 p.m. on The CW.

Tonight’s episode of “iZombie” is titled “Reflections of the Way Liv Used to Be.” Check out the synopsis and promo for season 2, episode 17 below:

“Liv [Rose McIver] and Babineaux investigate the death of a highly competitive student; Liv becomes more like the girl she used to be after consuming the victim’s brain; Blaine [David Anders] looks to Ravi [Rahul Kohli] for help.”
